Tools required:

•     Wood drill 8 mm Ø
•     Wood drill 16 mm Ø
•     Screwdriver
•     Hammer
•     Chisel

Roadmap:

1.     Place the side lock 50 cm from the top or bottom of the door.
2.     In the middle of the door (from the end side) draw a frame 16 mm wide and 46 mm high. Chisel out the marked wood with a chisel to a depth of 72 mm.
3.     To determine the location of the keyhole (8 mm Ø), hold the side lock at the level of the cut-out space on the side of the door and mark it.
4.     Place the side lock in the cut out space, making sure the keyhole holes are on the outside of the door and mark the outline of the front plate.
5.     Cut out the space for the front plate to size so that the front of the side lock fits into the door and is flush with the front side of the door.
6.     Screw the side lock with the long screws (3.9 x 30 mm). If necessary, pre-drill with a 2 mm Ø drill.
7.     Close the door and then the additional lock so that an imprint of the bolts is created in the frame. Drill holes of 16 mm Ø with a depth of 27 mm at the location of the impression.
8.     Place the closing bowl over the holes and mark the outline on the frame. Then place the closing bowl in the frame in the same way as described in step 4. Screw the closing bowl with the long screws and mount the rosettes with the cover plate on the outside of the door.
