Which type of profile cylinder you need for your situation depends on, among other things, the brand, the type, the quality mark / certification, the size and the number, as mentioned above.

Which brand of door cylinder is best to choose?

The best brand of door cylinder depends on your personal preferences and needs. It is advisable to look at the specific properties and quality of the door cylinder you need and to consult reviews and recommendations from other users. It is also advisable to choose a door cylinder that meets the quality marks and standards for safety.

Determine the best type of Euro profile cylinder

There are many different types of cylinders, due to the diversity of door situations. The double Euro profile cylinder is the most common, but half profile cylinders and knob cylinders are also often used in security locks.

Quality mark and certification

The weak point of a lock is often formed by the cylinder. For this reason, a growing range of cylinders with an SKG certification is available. These cylinders are designed to protect against common burglary methods and provide additional security such as drilling protection, core pulling protection and impact key protection.

How many door cylinders do I need?

The number of door cylinders you need depends on how many cylinders you want to replace and/or add. Usually a door has one cylinder lock, but it also happens that there are multiple locks on a door. For example, a front door with extra locks at the top and bottom of the door. Consider in advance whether you want to operate these locks with the same keys (keyed alike) or with different keys (keyed differently).
